I recently organised an event at the British Library to mark a decade since DB’s death. During the day we had panel discussions from
‘Bowie In Time’ Francis Whately + Paul Morley and Samira Ahmed
The V+A East Bowie Archive curators
‘Blackstar’ Leah Kardos, Jonathan Barnbrook, Donny McCaslin and Nemone
‘Bowie in Berlin’ Blixa Bargeld, Gudrun Gut Mark Reeder (and self)
Nicholas Pegg and Tony Visconti
For any AW pals who fancy watching some or all of it, here’s a free link to the talks in the comments, which should be live til the beginning of Feb. Fill your heart/boots!

Splendid.
Hurrah! Will they become A2A podcasts?
No I’d originally planned this as a live one off talk – me and A.N. Other in front of an audience – to be used as a future podcast episode but it sort of spiralled out of control into an all day event! So, they’re packaging all the talks up to go out on YouTube from February, along with the evening performances by Blixa Bargeld, Donny McCaslin and Jehnny Beth, so it’ll all be freely available there from Feb onwards. I’ve just scored a fantastic Bowie-adjacent guest for the next episode of the pod tho, so hope to have that out in a few weeks!
Just got round to listening to the Carlos Alomar episodes – fantastic.
That’s fab. Thanks @slotbadger
How superb! Thank you, Slotbadger!
The Bowie thing is really taking off for you. Nice one.
Thanks! It’s that time of year. But its been fun to do
Thanks for little treat, such a boost in a rough week. And for the pod.
This is a great listen. Thank you. Donny and Jehnny are very emotional.
@slotbadger
Just finished watching all five videos. Beautifully curated, with amazing guests and revelations – serious kudos to you. I thoroughly recommend watching/listening to all people remotely interested in Bowie. And thank you for your podcasts.
Thanks Hugo, thats really kind of you – it was an absolute pleasure. We should have proper footage of the evening gigs soon, I’ll post when we do
I’ve just finished all of the sessions. What a great day! You’ve done a brilliant job. And you are so cool speaking into a microphone with those dulcet tones. 😀
haha, ahh thanks! Very much appreciated.
