The 4-disc Bowie Radio Sessions vinyl box set is currently at the bargain price of just £29.99 on Amazon UK. I snagged one a couple of hours ago with a gift voucher, and have just checked and it’s still the same price, so probably not a mistake, just a good bargain. It’s £75 on HMV!

I received the alert for this mini, it is indeed a bargain. I`ve read good reports of the vinyl quality on other forums. Duly ordered.
I’d sworn off buying new vinyl, but I had a birthday voucher burning a hole in my pocket. The problem now is where to keep the darn thing. Argh.
What is this vinyl of which you speak? Do you mean vinly???
OMG that is SO last week.
As ever, I am at the cutting edge of popular culture. I remain, yours truly Lord of the Languedoc…
Almost the highlight of this album is Peel referring to DB’s new group as “The Arnold Corns” and later expressing admiration at the great man’s impressive trousers – presumably the cooling-towers he’s wearing on the back of Hunky Dory.
Equal top highlight is Bowie discussing his new band, and singling out “Michael” from Hull who’d joined only a few days earlier… that’s music history being made before your very ears!
Not being a vinyl afficionado*, I recently bought the remastered CD version for around £4. I thought that was a bargain!
(* I am, but only if it’s coloured vinyl, or comes with some other interesting extras – very rarely at bargain price…)
Duly ordered!
Ta for the heads up!
While we wait for our bargains to arrive, let’s look at some people from the last century proudly holding their treasured elpees: http://mashable.com/2016/10/15/holding-vinyl/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Music+Business#MF9VzFl9ziq9
Am tempted, but I have the CD version (with extra live show), not played too often. Deep in my heart I know I might play it only once (if that), and it would look nice on a shelf where it would remain.
Another thanks here. Did debate passing this up, but then my CD copy seems to miss a few tracks and I have hugely fond memories of hearing lots of this aired on Radio 1 in 1986 (I think).
Too good to pass up. Ordered. Thanks for the tip
It’s here! It’s here!

*trips over cat, bangs head on bookshelf, passes out behind sofa*
Mines here too!
Just checked on Amazon and it’s now back up to £58
