The comments about loudness reminded me that Chris Stamey was in Bob Mould’s band for his first solo tour. He quit after a couple of gigs, telling Mould: “I’ve already lost one ear to Alex Chilton; I’m not losing the other one to you.”
I would love to see Sugar on this upcoming tour, but Bristol tickets are the sharp end of sixty quid, which is daft. I was very much hoping they would get added to Bearded Theory (same promoter as the tour, the dates stack up), but the clock is running out on that one.
I know musicians now make their money from touring but, given how cheaply the Sugar vinyl box sets were flogged off, that would suggest reduced demand.
I can understand why the vinyl didn’t sell: I’m more confused why the big solo Mould/Sugar CD collection was drastically reduced in price. I mean, this is Bob Mould!!!

similarly conflicted about the price vs want to see!
£60 doesn’t seem ludicrous to see Bob Mould and Sugar – or is that just me?
Me too!
£60+ is too much.
Love Copper Blue though.

I got the 24cd “Distortion” box last year brand new for £32.
One of my best bargain buys.
Same here – bargain of the decade! In fact, I think someone on here pointed out the cheepnis and I rushed off to buy it.
