Really nice cover by Sinead O’connor of this one too. I get the feeling the tune is so perfectly written , it’s near impossible to fuck it up
Likewise Lisa 0’Neill, on her penultimate album, and reprised on the recent Pogues tour.
Also just did Garden Party. Apparently that is his favourite of other people’s songs that reference him.
I never had him down as a Marillion fan.
Don’t know if he is or he isn’t but this particular Garden Party is a Ricky Nelson song.

Just as long as he doesn’t do Tales from the Topographic Oceans. The original never had a tune so at least he couldn’t mangle it too much.
His last UK tour was pretty special but these setlists are making me really envious.
Personally I don’t like it it’s just too ‘watery’
