  4. So, after 14 holes it’s all to play for

    Pyramid out in front with BAD, Mike and the people’s champions Carl, Jim and Clive shakin’ the tree.

    Sound Hound currently thinking of where Spoonie might stay, but that could change with 6 or 7 players not far from the bottom.

    We seem to have lost @craig42blue . Hope all is well, Craig and please join us again for May if you can.

  52. Pending scores from@Pyramid and @fortuneight , not much movement over that past couple of holes.

    Barring an absolutely atrocious pin position tomorrow, it looks like it’s down to two, unless one of the following group can cause a major upset.

    Still tight at the bottom (Moose ?) where it could still be one of 5 or even 6 players being awarded Spooney, @Sound-hound, I have you down for +2, not +3 , so all is not lost…

  86. Oh wow! My first spoon. I feel honoured, ashamed but mostly just delighted to win something, anything. I assumed o was in the middle somewhere as have been somewhat distracted this month. I will give Spoonie pride of place on the mantelpiece – maybe the start of a long and wonderful friendship.

  131. @pencilsqueezer Dear Mr Squeezer, the Committee is pleased to invite you to compete in the May Afterwordle Tournament, run between May 1 and May 18. Copy and post your scores daily, and the Hon. Scorer (myself this month) will post the leaderboard at random moments of my choosing, although it is traditional to post the final scores on the 18th day. I would warn you that displays of artistic temperament are discouraged; Mr Wrongness frequently ignores this rule, however. You may also, should you play well, find yourself invited to partake of invasive procedures by the aforementioned Mr Wrongness, but you are at liberty to refuse if you wish. You will see a wooden spoon (aka Spoonie) being mentioned, but you can safely ignore that. First person to reach the 19th hole (invariably Mr Celebration from New Zealand) is in the chair.

    It remains only for me to wish you the very best of luck on your maiden round. See you at the first green!
