I caught Series 2 Episode 1 (1930-1939) on my way to work on Wednesday, excellent stuff.
All of series 1 available as well. Well worth get_iplayering.

I’ve had “a bit of a week” so haven’t been keeping up but did they mention John and Felicity Hassell who recorded a lot of black music from their suburban London semi detached?
I’ve heard them mentioned before, here’s a link to a page with a video about them.

I guess the series are based on the big “Black Europe” box (44 CDs) so it’s packed with great stories and fine music.
