I haven’t checked in here for a while (not that I’m in any way a regular poster by any means) for a number of reasons (namely emigrating).
Anyway, having spent a while wading through the thread about how this place isn’t as good as it used to be, I noticed discussion about the enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for modern music.
2016 is now in it’s third month so I think we can now start thinking about this question – what’s your favourite song of the year so far?
Mine’s this.

A dangerous question sir! Best song of 1966 or 1971 would be way safer!
Anyway, I’ve been raving about this for a while. Mike Patton from Faith No More! Doseone from cLOUDDED! Tunde Adebimpe from TV On The Radio! Remixed by Boards Of Canada!

I’ll refrain from posting any more Lucinda so not exactly sticking to your brief –

Another opportunity to drop a list to the rolling 2016 playlist 🙂
If pushed, this is probably my favourite single tune of the year so far
(“Love No One” – September Girls)

That’s a marvellous playlist Deviant. Must give it a proper listen.
And I enjoyed the September Girls too. One question though: Was the vid filmed at RobC’s gaff?
Somehow that’s exactly how I imagine his home would be. Lots of Egyptian statues, astral parphernalia and mysterious boho chicks in very tight leather, meandering around looking enigmatic.

Wandering even further away from your brief, Joe…..
What a delight to see the Saw Doctors making an appearance here.
I useta love them….

Where are your emigrating to? Sounds exciting. If it’s Oz, I’ll post some Taming Parlour.

Only heard “Under The Sun” so far.
Hearing that now convinces me to look further
