Yer twats
As mentioned in the ‘Lovely’ thread I adore that Bob Mortimer fellas humour so grandly pissed off that the odd and hilarious ‘House Of Fools’ has been axed by the Beeb. OK maybe it did get rubbish viewing figures and was wilfully odd but I liked it. No more Beef. Bastards

Dear BBC
Thanks a lot, you tw@ts.

Funniest thing on the BBC in years. Philistine twats…
Jim Cain says
Maybe they’ll sign a multi-million pound deal with Netflix.

Desperately unfunny childish rubbish. I’m surprised it even got to a second series.
James Blast says
FACT!

Funnier than most things on the idiot box.

Christ, looks dreadful. No wonder they killed it.

You can’t really judge six hours of comedy from a two a half minute snippet, though. Vic and Bob & co. created a little self-contained world with HOF that only made (non)sense if you gave it the time of day. I was delighted that they made it to a second series, to be honest. I’m sure they will cook-up something equally daft and delightful in the future.

Never quite as funny as it thought it was being.

Love Bob n Vic but it was deeply embarrassing tosh of remarkable little merit, a disservice to any legacy they had built. The additional characters were astonishingly dire, from Beef (more like fatty mutton) to the horrid son. Now do something good, ya tossers, or you’ll never get back on telly again.

Couldn’t have put it better. Have an ‘up’.

Agreed. Woeful crap.
Diddley Farquar says
I thought it was mostly hilarious. Shame.
The Good Doctor says
I thought it was good in parts, although other actors trying to voice R&M’s writing always seems to look a bit forced somehow. It did make me chuckle though
Such a dearth of decent TV comedy around, given the sheer number of comedians and comedy writers there are. I doubt Big Night Out would get past commissioning now.
What next, more of the execrable Lee Mack perhaps or maybe another show taking a ‘sideways look’ at current affairs?
