There was one band that played a couple of times in a bar I used to work in, in Preston. It was mainly heavy rock bands in this pub, back in the mid 90s, but there was one unusual and brilliant act that featured loads of percussion (including a gong) and lots of leaping around the tiny stage.
The band was called Omkara, they were excellent and I have no idea what became of them.
Not sure if they went on to become this hardcore crew??

That was great. Some lovely playing there and unusual to see McLaughlin played on a Fender Strat.
Such other-worldly music was made all the more surreal by the background chatter in the bar and the fixed camera position offering little but an 8 minute shot of a paunchy middle-aged bloke on drums.
