I opened a drawer this morning and found this tiny badge which was part of the Press Kit for the Beatles Love album. The launch was at Abbey Rd in Studio 2, George and Giles Martin spoke about the project and you had to hand in your wrist band on exit to get a copy of the CD. Danny Baker presented his show from the control room later and Amy Lame looked at me like I was something unpleasant on the sole of her shoe.
I digress…… I was never one for loads of badges but there was a stall at Wembley Sunday market that sold a few T shirts and loads of badges which was always fascinating to look at. This seems to be the only one I have. Any lurking, forgotten, at your place?

Nudge……
err gee
that’s weird

Oh yes……. I bet yours is much rarer than mine.
I found half a carrier bag of badges in my office move; RAR, ANL, various Stiff records things, along with some concert tour jobs and rock ephemera, all now mostly worthless.
I’ve got a bundle, mainly from the late 70’s, stashed in another symbol of the 70’s, the corrugated cardboard box that 10 TDK C90s came in if you bought them from Top Tape. Photos later if I remember!
Top Tape! There’s a name I haven’t heard since mojoworking was on the old blog and kindly reminded me of where it was located.

I still have this set, came free with Mojo a few years ago.

I have a Nick Lowe badge somewhere that reads “the Jesus of Cool is a testament to the Church of Aural Sects” that I think I got with the ‘Jesus of Cool’ LP.
I’ve got a couple of Nick Lowe ones which were handed out free at a Union Chapel gig a year or too ago – I’m a Mess and I Trained Her to Love Me, I think.
I used to wear masses of badges on my jacket in my youth, but I’ve only kept one, and it isn’t a music badge, but one that says “I’d rather be rich” (which is still true).
I’d wear it too, if I hadn’t put it somewhere safe and forgotten where…

still have these, which are buried in a drawer, mostly from the mid to late seventies.
The Who at Charlton? Nice one!
Wasn’t that gig famous for being, like, EXTEREMELY LOUD?
The thing I remember most about it was the concert programme, with the Who’s name on the front in the Wall’s Ice Cream logo
extremely loud and rather wet as i seem to remember.
everyone linked arms , singing Delilah in the rain with SAHB ~wonderful
That Thin Lizzy badge looks like it’s mirrored.
it is indeed.
i seem to recall on this tour, Phil Lynott had a mirrored scratch plate on his bass, and he took great delight in blinding us with the main houselights as they shone at him..
i saw them twice at Hammersmith on the Bad Reputation & Black Rose tours (both superb)
Just found this.

Nice!
Quality item!
I still have my “Word Nerd” badge in the bedside table drawer.
Oh yeah, Harrow, wasn’t it?
That’s right. Still trading, just not as Top Tape.
