Did any of you know that The Nolans had a song called Sexy Music? I didn’t for sure. After viewing this I now know that sex is a terrible thing that I will never have again.
If you have any other songs which will convert you to a life of celibacy, put them here.

(Well, you did ask …)
Well I fancied (at least) one of The Nolans so didn’t quite work for me
If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me.
Performed by Derek Jacobi. Really.
It’s on YouTube. From his CD with Anne Reid.
I’m hoping this is performed as their characters from Frasier and Dinnerladies respectively.
Somehow I had read ‘Derek Jacobi’ as ‘Derek Jameson’ and was getting very excited about the great lost episode of Frasier in which the Call My Bluff perennial inexplicably popped up. Presumably as Daphne’s weird Uncle Phil or something.
Mind you, he was very good in Twin Peaks, of course…
Somewhere Richie Rich has exploded.
They’re in the mood for Richie ..
He’s not titchy…
I was coming here to post that clip. Some of the posts below makes me wonder now if there were some after filming shenanigans going on….
It would have been different if those BBC bastards had given him a place to change into his fabbo jacket…
In Public by Kelis with Nas is an essay in the anti-erotic. I’ll post a link to the full lyric below, but particular delights include:
The pussy or the mouth? That is the question,
Like Shakespeare, but my erection is the case here.
And
We don’t need hotel keys
We jump in the trunk and stain everything up
Slide your G-string up
Nothing sexier than stains. I assume the intention is humorous, but really …

It’s a well-known fact that The Nolans had such a damaging effect on the health of 14-year-old boys that they had to be secured within hazmat suits at all times, and were only permitted a very limited range of hip-wiggling.
Sexy music…. on the wall? This isn’t about dancing at all, is it? Plastering, maybe
Lemmy reputedly had a fling with one of The Nolan’s and reckoned she was “a nice chick”.,
I know Coleen’s second husband AND I have signed Nolans LPs. I won’t hear a bad word against them.
What colour are you wearing in the video?
Why did you sign the LPs, were the band too lazy?
Lemmy and one of the Nolans. They could have bred a race of superbeings.
Good Lord. I had a go at learning Motörhead’s ‘Love Me Like A Reptile’ at the weekend.
And now this appears. Cosmic.
Not just 14-year-olds…I remember reading somewhere that there were absolutely shocking dressing-room scenes on tour. Makes you wonder…
I was about 20 and on a rail/road trip around the USA. Captain and Tenilles ‘You never did it like this’ was on the radio almost every hour. This predated MTV and instant video clips. Although I still think the song is sultry, when I finally caught up with the inages I never saw at 20, the sex appeal is akin to an encounter with a limp lettuce.
Well. If you are talking all four Nolans at the same time, I imagine things could degenerate very quickly…
No wonder he looks so tired.
Degenerate from what…?
Good grief, I miss Rik.
Well he burned very bright, that’s for sure.
Right, commuters?
Chanced upon this a while ago. Didn’t see it at the time but very much Rik Mayall at his peak, doing his thing.

As someone noted at the time, more of a threat than a promise.
“Yurrrr poo stenks!” – that was her catchphrase
Replaced by “what time are we going back to the hotel?” on I’m a Celebrity
Dr. Hook doing Sexy Eyes should be enough to drive Russell Brand to a monastery. The song is about an erotic as urine in a lift; it’s also rather insensitive to the weird chap in the group with the eyepatch. This performance appears to have been filmed in the CBBC Broom Cupboard from 1989.
“Sexy eye”, surely?
It’s actually Sexy I. Did you know Dr Hook were Rastafarians?
Well of course not, because they weren’t.
@Vincent
Not a patch on H’s far more sympathetic handling of RS’s monocularity.
Happily Ray’s visual shortcomings proved to be a blessing in disguise when a Hook
tour during the early 1990s visited the Land of the Blind and he was crowned
King
I love blueberries and I love Fats Domino.
But hearing that vile apology for a human being from the Kremlin murdering Blueberry Hill in front a studio full of sycophants was almost enough to put me off both. It was like when the boss sings at the office party. However, in this case, not smiling and laughing could lead to a one-way ticket to the Gulags.
Talking of the Great Despot Songbook….
Mind Sex by Dead Prez has always made me cringe, and not just because it rhymes futon with croutons.
There’s GOOD sex with the Nolans?
Time was when they were four of Mrs Fist’s five daughters for the self-absorbed
Desperate times, dear boy, they must have been. Clearly the Freemans catalogue had become too, um, worn.
