Unthanks – How Wild the Wind Blows – tonight

Been let down right at the last minute by two people for what promises to be an amazing show tonight. https://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event-detail.asp?ID=20582

I have a pair of (seated) tickets available, only hoping for face value of £25 or very near offer.

The reviews so far have been excellent, including one on this very site I am currently unable to link to due to being on my phone and a bit confused by the whole posting process on it.

Been away for a few weeks, did I miss anything?

Just had the most incredible holiday in the States. (Flights were booked way before the current madness took hold so we couldn’t back out). Places visited included LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Big Sur, Monterey for whale watching, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon and an amazing canoe trip on the Colorado River.

But enough of the boasting. I’m still a little jetlagged and, much as I would like, I don’t have the brainpower to go back through loads and loads of threads.

So can anyone sum up the last three weeks on here in a charming, descriptive and yet succinct manner please? Thank you xx

Fields of Joy – the 2017 Six Nations

It’s my favourite time of year again. It’s early February, it’s raining, it’s cold, it’s grey.

But in just a couple of hours I am going to be totally and utterly gripped by the opening match of this year’s Six Nations. By far my favourite sport and my only appointment TV of the year.

And this year my excitement is intensified by having a ticket to Twickenham for the England-Italy match later this month. Not my first time at Twickenham, but my first live Six Nations match. Anticipation is building.

The beer of choice for this afternoon’s festivities is Elvis Juice by Brewdog. A viciously citrus 6.5% brute of an IPA.

Anyone else as excited as me?
