Well ?

Watched first episode the other night after having had several recommendations. Thought it was a bit crap. Should I stick with it ?

Until I got a Kindle, when I finished a book, I’d have a browse in a bookshop and come out with whatever took my fancy. Much as I like the convenience of Kindle, you can’t browse in the same way. You have to start the ball rolling with a search. So, recommend me a great book. I’ll read anything. Cheers.

Where to begin ? A month or so ago I was following the events at Calais, where a few thousand migrants were attempting to enter Britain on a nightly basis with the French authorities either unable or inwilling to deal with the problem. A few weeks later the huge scale of the problem is apparant. Hundreds of thousands of people on the move, fleeing Syria and other worn torn countries. Many things have shocked me. Firstly, the sheer scale of it. The fact that the EU seems not to have discussed this in detail with member states and agreed a common policy. I find this unbelievable. If they can’t work together on something like this, then when will they ? Watching Cameron and Osbourne making it up as he goes along. Waffling about stopping the conflict and restoring stability in these afflicted countries. Yes, obviously, but this will take years. What are you going to do NOW ? They are not alone. Bit of a crap title I agree. I don’t often dislike a band and then come round to liking them, but recently was converted to a group I hated when I first heard them. Everything Everything. Marc Riley was playing them every night, getting them in for sessions and saying how great they were. I thought, he got this one wrong. A while back I heard one of their tracks and the conversion started. I fully understand how people would find them massively irritating, but I can’t help myself… So, who have you loathed and now love ?

Yes, I still buy CDs. I used to get them mostly from (yes, those nasty tax dodgers, with a nice easy to use website, sorry ) Amazon. They seem to have put their CD prices up massively recently, most seem to be ten or eleven quid. Any recommendations for an alternative on line outlet ?
