I am currently sorting through boxes of 7″ singles with a view to culling the items no longer wanted. I came across this flexidisc which I acquired about 40 years or so ago. I never knew who the artist was at the time, and Shazam has been of no use in identifying the singer, so I’m hoping the accumulated knowledge on here can help. Video is in first comment.

The 2018 remix version of Dogs from Pink Floyd’s Animals album has been released to streaming sites. I’ve listened to it once, and it perhaps sounds a bit less ‘muddy’ than the original.

I heard this on the radio the other day, and the verse chord sequence sounded familiar. After thinking about it, I realised it had the same sequence as ‘It’s Over’ by Scott Walker from the album ‘Til the Band Comes In’. What I’d like to know is if anyone can think of other songs with the same sequence, as it is still ringing a bell with me.

This popped up on random play this morning, and it struck me that the wonderful chorus comes after what could be termed an underwhelming verse (Trash Can Sinatras – Weightlifting). Any others?
