All great in their unique ways.
Over to you, folks.

As I struggled with eating my quickly melting ice cream on Saturday (see “First World Problems” thread), I wished they could invent something that wouldn’t cause such a white sticky mess all over my hands (steady on, Moose)
….and then I see this.
Any other inventions that you would like to see, that aren’t going to cure cancer, but may make everyday life a little bit better?
While listening to The Danny Baker Podcast, they had a caller who mentioned his father was asked to buy a cd for his mother by Craig David. He forgot the name but knew that the singer had two first names. He ended up with an Eddie Grant CD.
I thought this is an ideal post.
I came up with the following off the top of my head: Elton John George Michael Ray Charles Debbie Harry
Movies have a rich history too, you have John Wayne, Cary Grant, James Stewart etc.
So, who would you add?
Have you watched a movie, listened to a song, or read a book and learnt a new phrase, term or word that was previously alien to you?.
I remember clearly watching Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers and wondering what a “bear claw” was.
Turns out its a pastry

Anything else you have learnt from entertainment?
It’s my 40th birthday soon, and we are having a party next Saturday.
I want to create a spotify playlist that covers the last 40 years, so a song for each year.
Any help would be appreciated, so post your tunes with the year. Thanks.
My new favourite TV series.
Based on a great concept: 2 KGB Operatives living in 1980’s US as a “normal” American family; 2 kids, suburban home, 9-5 jobs. All while undertaking the dirty deeds of the Kremlin in the time of Cold War hysteria.
Great lead performances from Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as the spies
Particularly enjoy Noah Emmerich’s understated supporting role as the FBI Agent who is involved in their lives professionally and personally.
So if you like thrillers with great characters, intelligent writing and accurate period details, you will love this.
Its also got John-Boy Walton in it…what more could you ask for?
This is wonderful. John Oliver’s show on HBO is must see TV.
