Basking in the glory of my team, the not-so-mighty St Mirren pumping Celtic 3-1 in the Scottish League Cup final.

A great day for the team & for a fan-owned club who have built themselves up incrementally over recent years with a very effective & underrated manager.

Whilst the decline of the Old Firm/Ugly Sisters/Cheeks of the same arse (delete which is applicable) hurts our European coefficient, fans of the so-called diddy teams in the SPFL are enjoying the respective bin fires at Ibrox & Parkhead. Schadenfreude never felt so good, particularly as both the OF are convinced of the conspiracies against them.

Although no fan of the Jambos, I think we’d all love it if they won the league.

Just driven home after a late school concert. Stuck on my Proggy playlist. Nothing too esoteric, just mainstream stuff: ELP, Yes, Genesis (old & new – love Home & Second Home by the Sea), Carillon, King Crimson, Oldfield etc.

A propos of not very much & them appearing in a playlist, I give you The Silencers. One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live at the Barrowlands.

Just watching Robin & Marion on Film 4. That must have been a helluva party group looking at the cast: Connery, Harris, Elliott & Williamson. Must have been herding cats getting that lot on set! Any other films that spring to mind as being particularly riotous?
