September 8th sees this year’s Bestival kick off on the Isle of Wight.
Winner of the Best Major Festival award last year, this year’s bill has the usual eclectic selection of acts, something for everyone, adults and children alike (kids under 12 are free)
Headliners on the three main nights are Major Lazer (Friday), The Cure (Saturday) and Whiz Khalifa and Sean Paul (Sunday). Proceedings actually kick off though on the Thursday with Hot Chip headlining in the Big Top.
There are far far too many acts appearing to go through them all individually, but other stand outs include Bastille, Fatboy Slim, Animal Collective, and for us old folk, the Human League.
As ever with Bestival, there’s always lots going on away from the main stages, comedy, poetry, yoga, healing – you want it, it’s happening somewhere here.
Dusk till dawn spaceport raving, psychedelic adventuring, slow motion revitalisation, Mexican wrestling, the world’s biggest bouncy castle, the LoveBot. …oh, and the Chuckle Brothers!
The greatest party the future has ever seen – what’s not to like?!
Anyone else going, anyone been before, any enduring memories?
