Any afterworders been to gigs at Wembley stadium lately? I’m planning a family trip to a gig next summer so any tips on transport, hotels etc would be welcome.

Musings on the byways of popular culture
Haven’t been for a while but if staying in central London I recommend getting the overground train from Wembley Central after the show, much easier than the tube.
Worth pointing out that Wembley Central station is at least a good 20 to 25 minutes brisk walk up Wembley High Street from the stadium, so not ideal for everyone, and it gets almost as crowded as Wembley Park station. Also, although the former is primarily an overground station it is on the tube network and is served by the Bakerloo line.
Best option of all from central London is Wembley Stadium station, literally next door and very underused, on the overground from Marylebone but services are not so frequent.
Especially leaving a big event at the stadium, don’t be in a rush to get anywhere as it takes a long time to get away.
Oops. Actually that is what I meant, it has been a while.
Thanks gents. That’s the type of info I was looking for
Wembley? Old stadium, new stadium, arena, if still a thing; don’t bother. Too big.
I’d usually agree with you but it’s for a family Christmas present so we’ll struggle on.
Went to a big stadium gig this summer for the first time in years and actually really enjoyed the experience. Quality of big screens and sound has improved massively since I last went to one so was pleasantly surprised
Not the stadium, but the Arena (aka Wembley Pool) sound has not improved in the 32 years since I last went. Still sounded like a gig in a swimming pool. Screens were much bigger & better, though.
Stay at the Premier Inn Wembley takes all the hassle away.We were back in the bar 10 minutes after Bruce finished.
Always book the hotel first and hope you get the tickets.
A lost less hassle to cancel the latter.
