I recently bought two sets of screwdrivers[*] for a couple of projects. Along with the screwdrivers, these objects were included but I have no idea of their purpose or function. Picture of the second (similar) object in comment #1
Anyone here know what they’re for?
[*] In case Steve is reading, they were a set of Torx drivers, sizes T5, T6, T7, T8 & T10 and a set of Triangle head drivers, sizes TA1.4, TA1.8, TA2.0, TA2.3, TA2.7 and TA3.0.
Object #2
Are we identifying the thing on the left or the thing on the right?
The thing on the left is just there for decoration.
Of course!
Unless I’m mistaken (which happens more often than not), that is a spudger –

Cripes, old Spudger was in my dorm at school!
Frightful oik.
But went on to shoot down fifteen 109s in a dog fight over Biggin Hill in 1940. Spudger of B squadron, one of the few.
Yes, I bought one to replace my laptop’s HDD with a SSD.
I finally found a use for my Torx bits last week. I changed the wooden door front on a fridge from my kitchen (light wood – ash maybe?) to my garage cupboards (white, as they were cheapest). The bracket holding the wooden bit onto the fridge door was fixed with Torx head screws – I have no idea why, but at least I finally got to use the Torx bits I {ahem} “acquired” from a previous employer.
Fancy seeing you on this thread.
There’s a stunt plane from Duxford sky-writing a “Dull Signal” above me.
I imagine some kind of bat signal in the sky whenever someone on the afterword mentions torques or speaker cones or potentiometers.
Correctly identified, @countottoblack
I no longer need to use the spare one[*] as a head scratcher. It wasn’t very effective in that role.
[*] The triangle head screwdriver set came with two double-ended green spudgers.
They look like a pair of bevelled spill trunnions to me.
Can’t be doing with a split-shaft trunnion, it’s solid-shaft all the way for me…
I’ve heard.
It’s a doo-dah, isn’t it? A thingummy, whatsit.

There are no instructions surprisingly on this picture hanging kit from IKEA.
Does anyone know their use?
(I know they’ll be used in a picture hanging capacity)
That just looks like a very crude reconstruction of In the Court of the Crimson King.
Fish de-boner*?
(*) Moosey, behave!
Letraset boner.
Letraset Boner.
TMFTL, for sure.
That’s the deluxe executive desk set model. Snob.
Still in use, too, for burnishing masking tape down on things. Strictly speaking, its a ‘Chartpak’ boner, though we only used Letraset dry transfers.
Weird, I’ve noticed one of these lying in the road on my after lunch amble. I’ve been wondering myself what it is.
My guess, also going by the rest of the gubbins in that photo, is that you push the little metal spikey bits into the wall, and then hang a frame from the little plastic hooky things.
Aha, just like this here photo:

My life is complete. Thank you good sir.
Its an arse scratcher I think.
Obviously unused at this current time.
Is that to scratch your arse while deciding where the picture should go, or prior to bum gun use?
Here’s a subject close to my arse.
Yes.
Mike – have you tried putting those pics up on “dating” sites? There’s something about a man holding his tool.
I did try that.
Wrong site, wrong tool and wrong man, it transpired.
