I got a Samsung A13 and it doesn’t seem to have an FM radio app. My old phone had it and it could record it too. Anyone know the name of an app that would give me basic radio which uses the headphones as antenna, all I can find online is internet radio apps, thanks

I’m not familiar with the A13, but it’s possible that it lacks an FM radio altogether.
According to the specs here:

the A13 has no FM radio built in, and no app can make that happen.
TuneIn app would be usable, but requires data on your contract unfortunately.
The FM app would require receiver hardware – some RF filters and a decoder chip. I could draw you a circuit diagram if you like.
Is there any chance of returning the phone for one that does have the FM hardware built in? I think the apps tend to be model-specific.
Why go the trouble of drawing a circuit diagram when you can just scan and post last year’s Xmas card
Might have trouble finding a phone with the necessary hardware now.
Ok, thanks, didn’t realise it had to be built in.
Looks like i won’t be recording shows I’ll never get round to listening to thankfully.
I download favourite radio shows after broadcast from BBC Sounds, using the get_iplayer Windows app, which is a free download. Also (primarily) can be used to download TV shows from iPlayer. Anything that’s up to 30 days old on either Sounds or iPlayer.

Does not support live broadcast recording and for podcasts or iPlayer box sets you need to find the URLs or Program IDs yourself.
