Wolverhampton, rock n’roll capital of the world, has BEAT playing 80s King Crimson (who I think of as Talking Crimson/ King Heads). Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Danny Carey bringing their rocking teen combo on Sunday 7th June, 2026, a night before their show in London. Surely deserves the AW stamp of approval? It may be a mingle. Is there a secret sign?

Will they be doing Mirror In The Bathroom?
I’m here all week, etc.
In a similar vein, dates have been announced for Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks
Dates for the UK Tour:
Sep 15- Birmingham – Symphony Hall
Sep 17- Bath- Forum
Sep 20- London- Palladium
Sep 22- Liverpool- Philharmonic
Sep 26- Manchester- Opera House
Sep 28- Glasgow- Royal Concert Hall
Oct 1- Gateshead- Glasshouse
Interesting – a day or so between gigs, presumably to get his voice back? Video of his US shows suggested a better gig than Yes now provide, IMHO (though Steve remains a stellar guitar player).
When do those dates go on sale – do you know? This would be the gig of the year for me.
This Friday, 20th.
Mercy Buckets!

@Bargepole Thank you SO much for bringing this to my attention!
If you go to the link above via Planet Rock, you can buy tickets now – i did this AM. One should not hang around for this. I’ll be the bloke in the greatcoat shouting “Wally”.
Splendid! Two tickets secured to see JA and the Geeks. Frantically disappearing as I bought them – and nearly all gone now, 12 minutes after they went on sale. Phew!
I think people want a Yes experience which is not Steve Howe with heavy friends. Even with Roger Dean punting his overpriced tat, a Yes concert is now a bit of an empty experience. Howe should hold his nose and work with Jon, or go back to his (excellent) jazz trio. And for God’s sake, get a better keyboard player.
That’s what I’m hoping for – Jon’s voice is critical, and superb musical chops are obviously essential behind him. From what I’ve seen and heard of this lot, it should be an absolute treat. And the Bath Forum is a really splendid venue.
4 more dates added
Sunday 6 September – Brighton Dome
Tuesday 8 September – Portsmouth Guildhall
Thursday 10 September – Oxford New Theatre
Sunday 13 September – Nottingham Royal Concert Hall
