The fairway’s are all looking lush, the batteries on the Golf carts have all been fully charged, which just leaves me to say..good luck everybody and stay out of the rough.

    It’s like the seventies all over again..

            • I have a vague recollection I had to download a parking app to park in the beautiful walled city of Lucca. Well, outside of the beautiful walled city to be specific.

          • Just been sent a QR code for our hotel stay in Birmingham. Scan the QR, receive the key, go to room or engage in conversation with the receptionist. I know which I’ll do.

            Blue badge user, the only trouble I’ve had was at Northampton Station as it had ANPR and you had to register on some app or something. No smart phone, in fact no phone. Luckily my brother in law dealt with it when we picked him up. I then had a year’s free parking in which of course I didn’t need again.

            At the local station you get 72 hours free parking with a blue badge unfortunately we were going to be 75 hours, I rang the local authority parking department and explained the problem and they allowed me to park longer. It was one of their traffic wardens that I’d taught many years ago who told me to get a blue badge, for which I’ve very grateful though I’d prefer not to have the problem that necessitates it.

  71. Was just about to tee off for the final hole when the Stewards accosted me. It’s 2 am by me but I’m now in Bangkok and it’s 11 pm yesterday. I’ll be in the air to Istanbul when it kicks over to the 18th here but then it will go back to yesterday again.
    So heaven knows when I will be teeing off at this rate. Not that the rankings will be hanging on my score.

    And all I could think was that it was Retro used to describe Desolation Row. It was Retro wasn’t it.
    If Spoonie is gonna be Chez Wells I will forward my travel itinerary or the code for the lockbox with the house keys and he can let himself in. He knows where the fridge is and how the stereo works.
