Anyone else suffered through the latest Apple IOS9 update? So far it’s messed up the podcasts on my iPod and completely crashed my wife’s iPad and I have to wait til next Thursday for a “genius” bar meet. Anyone had similar problems and fixed them themselves?

i’ve updated a couple of devices with no issues as yet.
for podcasts. i’d suggest using Downcast as an alternative to the apple app.
Welcome to the party. See yesterday’s thread:
I managed to revive my ipad by setting up as a new ipad and not restoring the backup from itunes. Had to download all the apps again and set them up but better than waiting for one of their so-called Geniuses to sort it out.
Beats me how they get away with this crap. When will everybody see through the Emperor’s New Clothes?
Agreed, Apple are rapidly turning into Microsoft as was and vice versa.
Both my devices updated just fine
My wife’s iPhone crashed, refuses to restore, and went through a bizzare period where all my texts to other people were coming through to her phone too*. She’s lost all her contacts, texts, data etc, because every time we try to restore it just hangs uselessly.
Thanks Apple.
*NB seems there’s a button in iOS9 which allows multiple iPhone users, but the default setting is “yes, please treat all our iPhones under this single account as if they are indeed the pne iPhone”. Look out for sundry divorce cases and episodes of Jeremy Vile arising from this!
I updated my iPad with no problems today.
I too have been able to update 2 iPads and 2 IPod Touches without problems – which was a relief!
