66. Blimey
Was always annoyed back in the pre streaming days that I couldn’t listen to his programme.
I’ve sponsored his truly excellent podcast since inception (2021) and the latest episode was last summer. The most recent email update didn’t sound good, so sadly I’m not surprised by the news.
I listened to an episode only yesterday. He will be much missed.
He always makes me think of the JAMC high praise.
During his treatment for lung cancer they found he had a brain tumour. So sad. Met him back in his Leeds days.
I met him a few times at motorbike race meetings and found him to be a friendly, approachable chap. It’s a shame that the BBC decided that he was no longer required and that listeners would be better served by having b-list celebs and second rate comics as presenters.
His podcast was marvellous.
