I am however, taking a few marks off because the writer does that stupid-boy-music-journalist thing of describing what he likes with reference to (and no little bile about) the things he hates. A man of his age really should have grown out of that.
Terrific. A band at sea for years in an ocean of mediocrity; their historical context is relevant to highlighting the perplexing and frustrating fact that diamonds are easily lost in a skip full of grit and sand.

Great piece. Really enjoyed it – so much so that I went back and read several passages again.
