If only I had the money to buy it even at half price…
(or the time to play it, or the talent to be worth a nice guitar)

Please don’t tempt me like this!….Must look away now.
Ooh that’s a lovely burst! Anybody want to buy a kidney? Or a small child? Almost completely house trained.
Given Gibson’s notoriously lax quality control, I’d want to try it first.
Nice spec. No room though!
All is not as it seems. The store only had one of these at that price and of course it’s now “unavailable”.
Full retail price of this guitar from Gibson was US$2100 which converts to around £1685. Of course all the stores will discount that price heavily to around £1200 or even less.
Plus this is a discontinued Less+ model which is the cheapest and one of the least desirable carved top Les Pauls. It has 9 hole weight relief (boo!), clip-on pickguard (no screws) (boo!), the adjustable zero fret (boo!) and the dreaded G-Force Tuning System (double boo!). Gibson has invested millions into the G-Force system and it’s been an outright disaster. Quite apart from the fact it doesn’t work very well, who wants a heavy black box attached to the headstock of their guitar doing the tuning for them? I believe it’s being scrapped as of 2017
Phew! Thank goodness for that. I dont have to worry now.
(Still too good a guitar for me though)
Excellent post JC.
Phew, I’m left-handed.
