Our favourite Christian golfing horror uncle recently visited Marc Maron´s pod WTF. For those of you not too keen on Maron´s monologue, Alice appears thirteen minutes in.

It is a ripper of a chat, even though I’ve heard a number of the stories before.
RedLemon says
His chat with Bruce Springsteen is good, but Marc moron himself? What an absolute fucking gobshite.
JustB says
He’s a dealbreaker for me. I can’t listen to WTF, he just gets on my nerves too much.

David Crosby was great last summer (I think). Quote machine. Very entertaining.

Alice was on Radio 2 last night, chatting with Johnnie Walker.

Great stuff. Alice’s number 1 fan? Alice.
Again, it seems that I’m the only person on this list that likes MM. I guess I’ve been listening to him for so long now I’ve become rather fond of his shtick. He’s mentioned that he played at the Edinburgh Fringe a few years ago and didn’t go down well at all. I quite believe it.
Check out his show Maron. First three seasons are on Netflix. Or don’t bother… he just plays himself.

I like him too. He’s painfully sincere and openly admits when he’s not so informed about an artist, and above all he’s a fan. All good with me. No bullshit at all. I can quite understand how many can’t handle that though. Perhaps he needs to be more arch and knowing.

I like him too. As Twang said, no bullshit. His passion for his recent discovery Lee Morgan made me watch the doc he was talking about on Netflix. He wasn’t wrong!
Neela says
I like him, but it took me a while to not ff his intros.
The reason I mention where the actual interview starts is just a service to those who would be turned off by Maron´s rambling.
Alice Cooper is highly entertaining, but having heard and read numerous interviews with him through they years, I tend to recognise most of the stories. Still, the minutes flew by.
Leicester Bangs says
MM is okay as long as you skip the first 125 mins of every show.
Leicester Bangs says
Oops, that should have said ’15 mins.’
JustB says
I thought it was right first time 😉

I will try to catch up on this when time allows. I don’t think there’s anything about AC’s music that I like, but as a raconteur, he is second to none.
Max the Dog says
Listened to it while doing some garden chores over the weekend – very entertaining, as expected.

Look forward to listening to this one, thanks for the heads up. My favourite Alice quote? Upon seeing Kiss for the first time, he’s reputed to have said “What those guys need is a gimmick”.
davebigpicture says
Haven’t listened to it since it was broadcast but Alice did Desert Island Discs
