Tiggerlion says
Great work, Carl. Thank you.
Rigid Digit says
The Top 10 is pretty much The Afterword personified.
Intriguing to note that Primal Screams (possibly) least popular album sits at number 3 in re-release form.
All that smooth clean production and funk overload just isn’t needed anymore
Carl says
A late surge by The Scream saw them claim a podium place at the expense of my favourite, Bobby Gentry.
Freddy Steady says
@carl
Shame that.
Reckon I’d like Prime Scream if the lead singer was Bobbie Gentry, not Bobby Gillespie.
Twang says
Nice to see the Mighty Tull at number 6.
Mousey says
Thanks for doing it Carl. Interesting results – I had four of the Top 5 (I think – can’t remember!) Disappointing lack of love for the Small Faces though
ip33 says
Thank you for your hard work. Nice to see the Robert Kirby comp in the top ten. Grows lovelier every time I listen.
bang em in bingham says
Agree on the Robert Kirby album……lovely stuff
Twang says
I’m just listening to the Coltrane album which arrived today, and would certainly have voted for it, mind you it’s not a reissue at all!
Tiggerlion says
It isn’t new either. I like duco01’s category – Archive & Historical.
Baron Harkonnen says
Having run these polls in the past I am aware of the work that goes into compiling the results.
A great job done @Carl!!!
Tiggerlion says
Where have you been, Baron? Have you had a good holiday?
Feedback_File says
The Robert Kirby album should be No 9 as I included it on the main Albums Of The Year thread instead as not officially a re-release? Anyway its bloody marvellous.
bang em in bingham says
it is a thing of beauty. That Keith Christmas track is so good and the Andy Roberts is a beauty. Try getting that Andy album for under 50 dollars.
