I have just discovered this guy – his music is spiritual and mesmerising. It is sometimes difficult to find something new that grabs you in the way that music always used to grab you.
Maybe there is just too much around or maybe it’s hard to be groundbreaking these days.
Not even sure this is groundbreaking but it is bloody lovely.

He’s very interesting isnt he? I listened to “To Cy and Lee” while I had covid earlier this year. Just what the doctor ordered, or would have done if he’d heard of him.
It reminds me a lot of Mulatu Astatke which is no bad thing. Turns out he’s not an exotic, parisian bohemian, or indeed an Ethopian jazzer but some geezer from Manchester. I have yet to check out his other albums.

Yes he reminds me of Mulatu Astatke too.
I just love the spiritual nature of the music – a bit of Phatoah Sanders/Floating Points also.

Aye, Fat-Toe-Ah is very spiritual.
