New track released today, new album in early May, new tour dates nowhere near me.
Liking the sound of the single after a couple of goes. Do To The Beast was decent enough, but felt more like a Twilight Singers record. This has more of that classic Whigs swagger, helped by the horns. Bodes well, I reckon.

I’d say that was pretty bloody excellent. Between this, Slowdive and Ride, and with Shed Seven teasing us with the promise of new material, 2017 turns out to be the year my youth reared up to say hello again. They all get back on the horse in the end, it seems. Which makes me feel old. But happy.

“the year my youth reared up to say hello again” – these tablets are bloody marvellous aren’t they?

I had just spent the last 10 minutes convincing Mrs P she wanted to go and see them again when she caught sight of that appalling and cliched cover art.
You’re not helping!

Ride are already booked.
Once I get the tour dates, I’m booking up.
And as a side note, DTTB was not Twilighty (he said with total authority). I thought The Lottery was straight out of 1965 or Gentlemen, and so to Matamoros
I can’t tell you how excited this news made me. I saw the stripped down Dulli at Synagogue @ 6th & I (review posted). The full band will be amazing. I will go to my grave swearing blind that Dulli is an underappreciated genius
