Marvellous as always.
Being an Acid Jazzer in my 20s, I’ve seen Icognito more than once, and I didn’t know any of their backstory.
Thanks. I know someone who knows him well, and has sung bv’s for him, but even she knew nothing about his life in Mauritius.
Marvellous as always.
Seconded.
Heck of a twist at the end.
Another good one.
Thanks, @paulwright. Marty has been in hospital after suffering a collapsed lung, so he’s been on mind a lot. I am so proud of him, especially as he walked away when he found that his writing/production partner had been ripping him off from day one.
He has principles and bottle, as well as unbelievable talent.
And to think that he kept plugging away, recording lift music, after his first wife died from leukaemia, four months after they got married, and was about to get a normal job, when that phone call came through.
Nial,
it is your family so don’t feel you have to share, but I am sure many of us would be interested in your brother’s experiences.
By the way, Niall, I loved Blame It On The Weatherman and bought the CD single. I was 29. I did buy the album, but later, for a quid in a chazza. I didn’t realise Martin was on all but one track of it.
If I’d written BIOTW I’d expect to be carried on a sedan chair for the rest of my days.
B*witched will always be second best to Hepburn for me, though.
Thanks, that’s lovely.
