Lovely interview with someone who sounds comfortable in his skin and satisfied, of modest, to have had a full career as a very good band musician. Exactly the kind of band member I can imagine Van would like.
Tell you what, though. My Professor and the Madman piece has stalled at 90 – if you nip over there and help it across the line, like, I’ll return the favour here! Can’t say fairer than that!
Personally I resent the tone of vulgar facetiousness in these “oh-so-humorous” threads. I have fond memories of the Reithian era of the Afterword, when contributions concerned themselves with Glyndebourne, scrumptious pastries, dropping the gels off for their dance class and other similarly civilised topics.
Interesting, no?

Forward-looking I am to hearing his album.

Interesting read and only 95 to go.

I’m not adding to this begging thread.
Good man

Great thread! What was it about again?
Some guitar player who thinks Van is a very, very nice man
Eric Clapton?
No, the other one
*sings* I’ve got a hamper, I’ve got a hamper!
Remember our agreement? All you have to do now is chat to yourself back and forth another 86 times. You’re very good at that, allegedly
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that an Afterworder in want of a hamper must discount his own posts..
*displays buttocks*
Good somewhere to park the bike.
I have an amusingly tart rejoinder to your vulgar comment, Hubes, but refrain from posting it and getting LoW closer to his hamper.
I think this Lodes will need much more than a tart rejoinder post for this thread to reach the giddy stratospheric heights of a hamper.
Is it too late to mention bananas?
No
