I don’t know enough about RT to nitpick at what ‘she’ has ‘written’ but having had a look at Amazon, it’s clear it’s some kind of AI generated crap is it? Certainly if the covers of her books are anything to go by?
Who’s the market? Isn’t all this just a waste of electricity?
The market is suckers, who unfortunately might be kids buying for their Dad etc.
Waste of electricity? Yep. But this is just the start. You’ll soon see bots buying and reviewing these things, some sort of pyramid scheme is probably possible here if there’s a way to buy and resell.

It appears a Facebook friend has bought a copy he mentions one error.
“One of the best mistakes in this book is the duo album “Strict Tempo” that Richard and Teddy Thompson released.” This is of course very impressive for Teddy as at the time he was a four or five year old.
Luckily AI had found a way to ‘correct’ that” AI is not stupid and has it at a much later date than the one we take for the “original”!”

I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but if the typography on the front is anything to go by the contents are going to be truly shocking
Sitheref2409 says
It’s reminiscent of the last few Word covers…
Colin H says
A load of AI claptrap, by the look of it.
hubert rawlinson says
Indeed, hence my tags.
I showed it to my son. He read a couple of paragraphs and said “it’s AI isn’t it”.
There’s a mention of Jeanie (sic) Franklyn but no context as to who she is. It reads on another page as if RT wrote Matty Groves.
I’ve only downloaded a sample but I’d be sorely tempted to read the lot with a red pencil in hand.

If possible, report it.

I don’t think this version even has Thompy on the cover!
hubert rawlinson says
That truly is hideous.

‘ A shock of white hair’?! he wishes…..
Leffe Gin says
Yeah that’s Albert Lee. Naughty AI author!
Jaygee says
Surely Albow Lee
Leffe Gin says
Very good.
Colin H says
Excellent! 😀

Anyone would be hard pushed to beat the Patrick Humphrey’s bio which is pretty definitive.
Skirky says
Well, quite. But this AI hasn’t hoovered up the text out of thin air.

AI eats itself.
Here’s Amanda’s bio.

This came up today Jethro Tull biography I’m not a fan but there’s something about the cover that doesn’t ring true.
I see that neither the Thompson ones above no longer have the hideous cover.
