I’m a rare poster on here, but I’d like to ask for your help.
Voxliminis is a Glasgow based charity, which helps support individuals (and their families) involved in the criminal justice system in Scotland.
The reason I’m bringing this to the attention of the massive is because Voxliminis use the medium of song writing to enable people to express their hopes, fears and aspirations through music.
I’ve been attending ‘Vox’ sessions for about 18 months now, and I’ve seen first hand the good work they do, and the difference they makes to people’s life.
Unfortunately, Voxliminis now require a bit of help to bridge a funding gap to tide them over till April 2017. That’s where you guys come in hopefully.
Please have a look at the above link where you can make a donation if you feel so inclined (maybe check out their website first if you want more information or want to hear some of the songs that have been recorded to date – even I’m on their if you dig deep enough).
On a personal note, the Vox gang have been wonderfully supportive and empowering to me, and I’d just like to give something back.
In a last desperate bid to grab your attention (and your money), there is an ep on bandcamp (search Voxliminis, Seen and Heard ep) where Lois Abbot from Admiral Fallow generously sung a couple of songs wot I wrote at Vox sessions, which warmed the heart of this jaded old social worker.
If you listen and like…please donate.
Thanks for reading (I’ll go back into lurking mode now….)

What a fantastic initiative; I’m bunging in a tenner. More power to your collective elbows.
Stop lurking and pile in mate, talk bollocks with the rest of us; we need you as much as you need us!
