Blimey! I turned 60 five months or so ago and didn’t have the wherewithal to do this.

I’ll be 60 in August. I must work on a playlist of my own. Great idea. Surprised to see Momus in yours. The Outdoor Type by the Lemonheads is a favourite of mine.
I did a playlist for my 50th (that was 8 years ago…so 60th coming up soon) but didn’t have your restraint. I picked my favourite tunes from every year of my life. The original plan was to whittle it down to one per year, but that proved impossible and most years ended up having at least three songs representing it. Had I done the playlist on Spotify, it would probably have been even longer – doing it in my WMP at least ensured the absence of songs I don’t own.
Three of your songs are in my list (Complicated Game is of course one of them), and a few additional artists but with other songs, but not a whole lot of overlap.
I actually started to add to it last month, adding songs for the years since, but only managed to choose a bunch of songs for the first “new” year, and never got around to whittling those candidates down to a managable number. Must get back to that soon!

Arf! I have always said that was tongue in cheek, for a fancy dress party, but actually wore it to the Stranglers, at the Roundhouse. Much the same thing, mind.
It’s a great thing to do – I did the same on my 60th, er, 7 years ago. Can’t claim to have played the list many times but it’s still there, and they’re all songs which mean something to me, whether just because I love the music, or because they have associations with some aspect of my life. Here it is – very different from your (excellent) list, but that’s as it should be. And belated happy birthday – hope you had a good one.

A Humminguru Nova record cleaner was delivered in May. And it has improved my vinyl listening by 1000%. Crackles and pops are mainly a thing of the past. Highly recommended.
