Most new music in any given year is by artists already familiar to me. Add music by artists I had heard of but never listened to. Then you get the complete surprises – a band you had never heard of with a song that just blows you away.
This song is just so damn catchy. The rest of the album is great too
Dream Wife – Hasta La Vista

Wow! That’s my favourite single of the whole year you’ve pulled out of the hat, Steve. The way her voice goes at the “..do we have to lose?” bit thrills me every time. The other single After The Rain is completely different but quite breathtaking.
That’s the way it got me too. It’s just unbelievably good – and simple. Classic pop music.
Wow. that was awful to my ears.
Sorry Steve, I`m with Wheaty on this, second rate pop for the noughties.
Yeah but you ain’t cool Baron. World has evolved since you were a nipper.
Cool, what you fuck about?
I`m into good music always have been and if that CRAP you posted is your attempt at being `Cool` @SteveT good for you. You are welcome to your `Cool` CRAP OOAA.
Here`s some more `Cool` crap for you:
Ahem, I seem to remember you telling me off for describing music I didn’t like as crap. I agree with you about Dream Wife though.
I would get them checked them Uncle.😀
Their publicity is a bit wonky, their live shows were advertised as a sort of teenage high-kicking Girl Power version of The Ramones. Being a white male in his 50s, I was put off but my 17-y-o daughter was keen. The Cambridge gig sold out before she persuaded me to buy tickets.
That’s not quite how they sound, though, which is more like, say, The Darling Buds.
Decent enough tune, but the voice is horrible to my old ears. At least it isn’t slathered in autotune, unlike just about every other chartbound sound these days.
