I’m talking about proposed London Mingle
I did suggest on the Mingle thread about using one of those polls, but have now decided that you can just vote here and state preferred date and venue and I’ll count them up and we’ll have come to a decision by the end of next week (February 27th).
So make your choices on:
1) I propose dates of either March 20th or March 27th (both Fridays)
2) A poll on aard-stryder’s suggestion of The Betjeman Arms (http://www.geronimo-inns.co.uk/london-the-betjemank) at Kings Cross / St Pancras stations against the old location of The King & The Queen in Foley Street.
For myself I can do both dates but lean towards the 28th and fancy the new Venue.
If we get enough takers I’ll sort out a booking with the venue

Either date and the pub nearest the underground for me. Which I assume is the Betjeman.
Either date. Can’t fault the location of the Betjeman but not wild about the look of it. Looks a bit new and shiny. I like my pubs shabby. But would be happy to go there and be proved wrong.
Either date. Not too bothered about the location although I like the K&Q now that I know where the parking is.
Betjeman is OK and has good beers. Spent a saturday late afternoon/early evening there last summer waiting for the boy and his squeeze, ahead of a tip-top meal at the station diner (aka Marcus Wareing posh resto)Handy for the grim north as @ St Pancras and near Euston.
Either date suits, depends on odd last minute chaos, with which I seem overly acquainted
Has to be 20th for me. A wonderful date where I have no repsonsibility for children. Please please please make it the 20th 🙂
Any venue is fine, I’m there for the company.
20th for me although that could change due to work (I really sometimes don’t know until the day). Venue doesn’t matter much as I’m coming from the south coast. Does the Betjeman have a separate room? That was an advantage with K&Q as the bar is really busy.
