Dariush Kanani – a modern disciple of the Jansch/Renbourn/Davy Graham school of fingerstyle magic has just filmed a session for Turnstone Guitars (playing one of their instruments). There’s no boring gear talk – just 11 mins 48 of fabulous music: ‘Angie’, ‘Lady Nothing’s Toye Puffe’, ‘Sermonette’, ‘Blueberry Hill’ and ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’.
I know Dazza slightly but I’d be posting this clip even I didn’t – a beautiful sound, marvellous music and marvellous playing.
Link in the comments. Enjoy!

Exquisite indeed!
That’s marvellous, Colin. Thank you!
I believe Dazza is regularly available to give lessons online, or in person in London, for anyone who fancies adding to their craft. He’s a nice chap.
That’s stunning. Lovely tone and precise picking. Perfect
We had ‘Daz’, as Clive Carroll refers to him, at our club, first supporting Clive, then in his own right a few months later. You can imagine that the Clive / Dariush night was quite something.
Wow yes. CC is brilliant.
I saw that tour too, in Rostrevor. Sensational.
Thanks Colin, an excellent performance, from someone hitherto unknown to me.
