Hello my presumably locked-away friends in Britain! This article appeared yesterday in The Guardian. I am the blue-shirted white-haired fellow with the microphone to the right of the other white haired fellow with the microphone (left side in the photo) under the heading “Brazil”. That other is David Dye of World Café, well-known on the left side of the Atlantic for his programs broadcast on U.S. National Public Radio.
It was a nice surprise to appear like this…normally I toil away in obscurity, championing and attempting to divulge musicians and music that not a lot of people are interested in (in spite of the fact that the music is transcendent).
I’m ensconced in a little town in the middle of Bahia, in the sertão, backlands.

Hi Sparrow!
I’ll be tuning in to WXPN on my little Revo Axis internet radio – I’m adding the station to my normal list of choice listening that includes FIP from France and Radio Tres from Spain.
We need all the transcendent music we can get in these trying times!
Viva Vulpes!
Shall have a tune in too.
I was just reading the comments in The Guardian article and someone referenced the website ‘Radio Garden’ which basically has every radio station on the planet available by simply navigating the globe. Well worth a look.
May I take this opportunity to point all you good people in this direction
https://www.matrixonline.net/salvador-bahia-brazil/download-brazilian-music/
Where you will find a treasure trove of choons available at a very reasonable price.
Take a look around the website while you’re there, it’s great.
