I am very much looking forward to this. That is all.

Wild Life is awful, and I speak as a Macca fan – no way am I going to buy a huge and expensive version!

Whereas I love Wild Life, one of my favourite McCartney albums. Tomorrow is the alternate Yesterday – no artifice, nothing imagined, just Pure Macca.

Side 2 is great, side 1 is abysmal. And all the songs go on way too long. I do like RRS though, having initially dismissed it for about 25 years

Not my bag at all – isn’t this the album even Macca didn’t like? – but I saw a Wings concert on telly with Jimmy McCullough on lead guitar and they were properly rocking!

He was on the big Rockshow/Wings Over America tour so you probably saw that.

That was post Band on the Run when they became one of the highest acts in the world. Wildlife is very low key and “organic”, RRS more polished and featuring a famous guitar solo from Jimmy’s near namesake Henry on My Love.

Check out the prices on those two babies … Ker-and-SOOOOOOOOO-ching.
Not even Golden Age.

I have a few of these lush Macca reimaginings from the archives, but I don’t think these two are essential enough and I’m close to skint right now [Wife’s voice: You spent £200 on a Steve Hillage box set, you stupid sod].
They do look lovely though, and should make Karl Ove Knausgaard happy. (In a recent interview he said “I have always liked Wings, and also Paul McCartney’s solo albums. I still do, as a matter of fact. I saw McCartney live for the first time last year and I thought he should have played more mid-Seventies Wings songs . . .”).

First 1/3 of the current show is packed with Wings/solo stuff. I think on this tour the ratio is about right. Nothing from these albums though as he has dropped My Love.
