A huge project in its’ early stages (we’re currently at early September 1939) that promises a live time line of all the developments pretty much as they happen(ed).

This is their second time round. It was really fascinating. I think I started around the time of Dunkirk and followed right the way through to Nagasaki. And I’m going to do the same this time

I only noticed it was the 2nd time around after I posted.
I confess I do have a sense of feeling daunted, having some notion of what is going to happen, – this is despite not having to do anything but read intermittent tweets.
The only thing similar I have followed was Pepys’ Diaries, so I’m intrigued as to whether I’ll remain enthralled or become exhausted by it.

I do hope people don’t take this the wrong way (just to say, I’m currently reading through the newspapers of the 1930s, and voted to stay in Europe precisely because there hasn’t been a World War for 71 years … my principal reason for so-doing) but I think we remember war far too much.
“Less we forget?” A chance to forget would be a fine thing.
