Where you’re concerned P, I absolutely do.

That was my 3rd attempt to post this, so I’ll write the words here – again.
Sitting in the early evening shade, glass of Shiraz on the go, and an Epic 45 playlist drifting out through the open door.
I have had a great week, one of the best for a long while. Mental health progress is good, therapist is pleased and I am happier than I have been for months.
I am so lucky.
Post your current summer sounds, please.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I love this sentimental tosh.
Except Louis means it. Louis expressed the pure joy he felt at being alive through his music. Come to that, so did Brubeck.

I’m listening to this right now. Bring the noise muthafunkas.
It’s Delius, it’s delicious.

A Ronnie Love soul classic give a summery beat, with added video of cute girl-with-guitar, if, y’know, that’s your sort of thing …

This is my summer jam at the moment. Lovely Balearic vibes, Balearic in the Weatherall, dubby, chuggy, echoey sense, not the floaty acoustic guitar DJ Alfredo sense

Just seen the typo in the headline. Apologies.
I have been in London today. The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy to see Morgan Howell’s (of this parish)) painting of the American Capitol label of The Beatles’ Yesterday..
Then, a few beers before the magnificent England game. A bowl of pasta in Soho, with the Gay Pride people in full effect, and then a train home.
This album has been my soundtrack all day..

We had tickets for a matinee* and went to Soho to look around Pride before curtain up. It was a wonderful way for well-meaning, straight couple to spend an hour or so – all the sunshine, rainbows and shiny happy people anyone could wish for. When we came out of the theatre Charing Cross Road was completely blocked by a meeting of the theatre crowd, Pride and drinkers from the pubs in the area joining in choral avowal of the opinion that football is coming home.
* We went to see Bat Out of Hell again. Plenty of empty seats, which may have been the footie, or may have been because it’s reaching the end of its west end life. Good news for us because we moved to far better (and more expensive) seats than we had bought, but if you had vaguely planned on seeing it then perhaps mpbest to make it soon.

Weekend in the Lake District with some old friends. In between walks, beer and football we played some old:
Allen Toussaint-Out Of The City (Into Country Life)
and some new:
The Coral – Eyes Like Pearls
