One of the more intriguing members of The Beatles floating world of artists and scammers died on Friday. I always thought he relationship with the Fab Four would form the basis of a good book, play, or film. Given that he was so litigious I guess that was going to happen in his lifetime.
Fascinating little video at the end of this Billboard obit.

In one of the many interviews I’ve heard or read with Mark Lewisohn, he reckoned there may be more to Magic Alex than met the eye:

I read that as he is not coming into this with pre-conceived opinions. So Alex may or may not be a charlatan, he will investigate. We’ll find out in about 2036 or whenever vol 3 comes out …

I’m not holding my breath, either for Magic Alex’s rehabilitation or Lewisohn’s version thereof.

I understand Magic Alex invented the frictionless cremation converer belt to be used at the funeral. It works on levitation and creates a force field around the coffin making the entire congregation weightless. The church will then become invisible as the heatless flames engulf the body. Which will then come back to life, naturally.
The funeral takes place over 3 days next week, or 5 days if anyone can work out how to plug it in

A film of ‘The Longest Cocktail Party’ eould be great. You don’t even have to feature The Fabs that much aside from Father & Mother Christmas at the dinner dripping with gravy.
