“He says ‘fuck’ twice a minute”. That isn’t that much, snowflakes. Been on a bus recently?
He actually says he doesn’t like dance music, which is pretty radical for someone of his generation (or younger). You’re supposed to say you like it even if you find it a chore.
I have very fond memories of singing the Alan Ball version of Wonderwall during Man City’s precipitous decline in the mid 90s. Away games were the best and QPR’s Loftus Road – with it’s small, compact stands and excellent acoustics – a highlight.

Two things about this interview.
“He says ‘fuck’ twice a minute”. That isn’t that much, snowflakes. Been on a bus recently?
He actually says he doesn’t like dance music, which is pretty radical for someone of his generation (or younger). You’re supposed to say you like it even if you find it a chore.

And another thing: they say Wonderwall gets a bad “wrap”. Shouldn’t it be “rap”? Or have I always been spelling it wrong in my head?
Moose the Mooche says
No you haven’t.
And in what way does WW get a bad rap anyway? Rock critics treat it like it’s Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand.

You haven’t.

Yeah, plus the writer does two swears in the first two paragraphs. I am appall at the double standards at work here.
Moose the Mooche says
As Bernard Manning would have said, it’s a fookin’ disgrace.

Introducing your interviewee as ‘music’s most loveable arsehole’ reaches a whole new level of backhanded compliment.
duco01 says
Yes, if they’d opened a piece on, say, Ginger Baker by describing him as ‘music’s most loveable arsehole’, they might’ve regretted it.
Moose the Mooche says
…because GB is not at all loveable.

Oh, and what does “making the Illuminati sign” mean? I am clearly out of touch with the lizard hating fraternity.

Just googled it and got a list of signwriter adverts and masonic funny handshakes. I am confuse.

This place should be allowed to keep its name in honour of Liam Gallagher, for whom there can be no greater recipient of this particular accolade.
