I know this is an old track, but for some reason it’s been on the local radio a lot these past few weeks. Everytime it comes on though, I automatically think it’s a World Party track (even though I do actually know it’s by the New Radicals)
Is it just me or were they really separated at birth ?
And feel free to use this thread as an excuse to post your most favouritist World Party track (or other tracks that sound like them)

No, it’s not just you.
It was ear-worming my walk around Loch Muick the other week. And now World Party’s Put the Message in the Box is doing the same.

Goodbye Jumbo is a masterpiece, one of the 25 best records ever made. When The Rainbow Comes is one of Our Tunes, so I’ll go for that. Also splendid to have an album whose cover features Lenin juxtaposed with 2-Live Crew.

‘You get what you give’ always reminds me of the charity adverts they play at Glastonbury between the bands. I must have heard that song 30 times over the weekend.

I love World Party and I love You Get What You Give. Ken Bruce plays it most days and jokes about snatching it off the turntable when the ‘Kick Your ass’ bit comes up. I think it’s a great example of what I like best in pop music. The New Radicals song Someday We’ll Know is improved on by Hall and Oates with Todd Rundgren on their album Do It For Love. That’s an overlooked gem available in many Poundland stores.
