My teenage son got me to watch this. To begin with I thought was something that I could not relate to with all them cuss words – but it’s very clever and pretty heavy stuff. Note how it isn’t a song, as such. Also, it is a conversational poem which is a little unusual. There is a haunting/subtle backing track turns it into something eerie and menacing – but it’s just words…right? Those of us that remember The Boiler and how wunnerful Radio 1 had to play it in the chart rundown may be heartened to know that this is also a “hit” “song” in the same way.
Anyway, I thought this was interesting enough to share here. Something different.
