Could someone more intuitive than I please let me know how to:
– post an avatar for my username and
– find the Search function (trying to avoid double-posting – don’t reliably look in regularly)
Hugs and thankyou 🙂

Hi homebaked!
– Hover on the little icon top-left of the screen under the word Home that looks like a Fisher-Price person and select Profile. Click ‘Profile’ from the next bit then ‘Change Profile Picture’.
– The search function is also at the top-left of your screen. It’s the little magnifying glass shaped icon next to the little person.

Oh, to get out of Search just press your Escape key.

Hi mini, that’s weird, ‘cos on my screen they are both top right…
…which is another way of warning homebaked that where they appear on your screen depends on how wide the screen is. Yes, it’s called a responsive interface, and it can get confusing as hell trying to give directions by position like this!

Ah yes, good point!

Responsive in’er face? We’ve barely been introduced!

I’ve tried to change my avatar by uploading a suitable image. I get a message saying that I have successfully uploaded said image, but further down the page is an invitation to crop it. As the avatar looks ok, I have not needed to crop it, but when I go back onto the blog page, the avatar hasn’t been saved and has reverted back to the graphic. What am I doing wrong?

Scrap all the above. It seems to have worked! *confused*

Thankyou everyone :). I knew how it all worked, pre-resurrection.
I’m top right, too – not sure if this makes me wide or narrow but “responsive” isn’t an adjective that immediately springs to mind to describe this flippin’ computer.
I’ll have a go at the avatar asap.
