It’s a bank holiday weekend, remarkably its a beautiful sunny evening in Manchester, I’m cooking up a paella, Mrs BB and daughters are sat outside enjoying sunshine, and I’m playing Getz and Byrd’s Jazz Samba, the sound of summer. What are you playing/cooking/eating this balmy Saturday evening?

We’re psyching ourselves up for Eurovision.
By contrast, your taste though is impeccable, Blue boy. A real classic.

I’m just down the road in sunny Sale, Mr Blueboy. Chicken and chickpea curry on the go, watching the Test Match. Some Moretti’s and Cobra in the fridge.
Praying for more decent weather next week…camping in the Motherland (Norfolk)

Funnily enough it’s also a holiday weekend here in the USA (Memorial Day Weekend).
The sun is also shining here, but I can only see it through a window as I’m at work. Notwithstanding, I am currently listening to the Graham Bond Organization’s “The Sound Of 65”
Prior to that, however, I was also digging some cool jazz stylings – the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s “Jazz Impressions Of Black Orpheus”
Nice!

Listening to Test Match Special as I hope we head towards a draw or an unimaginable win.
