Radiohead knock Rick Astley off the top of the album charts!!!
Have Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Wiatrose ever achieved anything like this? NO and Bloody Hell NO have they. Iceland are in the last 16 after freezing out Ronaldo and halting the Kaiser`s Austro-Hungarian Empire in their tracks. Eat yer heart out Sainsburys you and your Nectar points you`ll never match this.

I`ve never heard of this guy but came across this beautiful song today. Anybody know anything about him?
Dylan`s `Masked & Anonymous` DVD for £1.26 at the tax dodgers. Now that`s what I call a bargain even if it isn`t `Citizen Cane.
Will they do it? Well I hope they do, people keep saying this will never happen again, bollocks. It`s happening now so why can`t it happen again?
Leicester City have brought a smile back to Premier League football, as have Spurs, but with Leicester City it is nothing short of a football miracle.
Mr. Claudio Ranieri I will raise a glass to you when you succeed, today or in the next two weeks and here`s Dean to serenade you when you do. By the way I support Manchester United F.C.
…The Trembling Bells. I`m not a Yorkshire man but this song about the River Aire lifts my state of being! The LP was delivered just minutes ago and sounds wonderful (so far).
Tha can`t beat th`owd electrified folk.
@chrisf`s blog below about the forthcoming new album from Big Big Train, `Folklore` got me thinking about bands/artists new music and which music I truly looked forward to being released. The Waterboys are one of those bands that still have me looking forward to and buying their albums on the day of release. However the band whose releases I truly look forward to are Big Big Train. Please don`t be thinking they are a fiddly widdly prog rock band, you will be mistaken, very mistaken. This band exude quality and talent as one or two others on here will testify.
Anyhow, the question is does the new music by any band/artist have you truly looking forward to hearing it?
Last it was some REAL Americana, Gurf Morlix, The Graemes, Jennifer Jackson and arriving on stage at 15 minutes past midnight Jimmy LaFave. You may not have heard of some of these, I was only familiar with Jimmy but if you are a fan of Americana go check ’em out. This show was staged at The Saxon pub a great venue, I’m not going to give a full re view, @stevet is better than I, that’s if he wasn’t too pissed!
More on the morrow.
I give you The Corals newest psychedelic masterpiece from their new album `Distance Inbetween`, any disagreements pray tell….
ALL THE VOTES HAVE BEEN COUNTED, 90 AFTERWORDERS VOTED FOR THEIR CHOICE OF BEST ALBUM OF 2015. 341 ALBUMS WERE SELECTED…see comments. Here`s some Southern Soul to calm you down when you realise only you voted for that album.
…being counted, results soon, giving my eyes a rest.
Bloody hell, I`ve been immersed in Kraut Rock all weekend and forgot all about the deadline for the poll. So this is what I`m gonna do if you haven`t voted and wish to do so you now can until midnight tonight, Sunday Jan 10th.
I hope to have all the results sorted by Tuesday and will immediately post them. Right it`s back to our Teutonic friends.
Well `tis now `16 so you have just over 5 days left to vote. Who will prevail? Sufjan or Julia? Which reminds me I need to get my 10 selected. You can vote under this post if you like but remember voting closes January 8th at midnight.
Thought I`d give this a go seeing as I have time on my hands, no one else has bothered and I love polls. Right I`m going to keep it simple, vote for your top TEN albums of 2015. a point given for each album. The album with most points will come first, obviously. Only NEW albums, no compilations or reissues such as Dylans `Cutting Edge` and Springy`s `Ties That Bind`. If enough people ask I can do a reissues poll also. I give you the finest album of 1967 and any other year while you cast your votes. Poll closes MIDNIGHT JANUARY 8th 2016.
People who do not like this kind of thing move on, nothing much is happening here.
I have decided to change my AW name. I do this because I have become increasingly uncomfortable with my former name, the end.
I reveal this in the spirit of transparency.
I give you John Lennon`s nod to The Byrds to herald my new birth.
