What does it sound like?:
It sounds like, but different to, the other King Creosote albums. To my untutored ear, it’s ‘heavier’ – the working of his unique voice with more prominent bass lines really works.
This manages to be less…ephemeral than previous outings, without losing the quality of his work that pulls you and wraps around your brain.
I’m on my second go round, so more updates may follow, but for right now: an amazing piece of work.
What does it all *mean*?
Kenny Anderson is one of those artists we should cherish.
Goes well with…
Quiet evenings in with a nice drink.
Or earphones on the train to New York.
Might suit people who like…
Sigur Ros, maybe.
I don’t know he’s got anyone I would liken him to.
